Do you want to know what it's like to work at Plecto? We've talked with Morten, our Solution Architect, about his experience at the company and his advice for future employees.
If you would like to be part of Plecto team, our Customer Success team is looking for new colleagues to join us! You can see the open positions here, and apply straight away.
How did you start at Plecto?
I just finished working at a hotel in Austria doing the winter season, and was searching for a new opportunity where I could both challenge and develop myself to learn new things. I stumbled across Plecto about a year ago and loved the idea of working in a fast-paced company with lots of opportunities - and I’ve loved it ever since!
What do you do as a Solution Architect at Plecto?
My job description varies a lot, as I do many different things. Two days are rarely alike, which is great! I usually assist with technical questions from our Support team and handle the more complicated cases where SQL or APIs might be involved. I also join in on meetings with our Sales team when they reckon the customer might have some technical questions they cannot answer themselves.
What do you like the most about working at Plecto?
The culture is simply amazing, and there’s literally not one person that you cannot speak with. Everybody is always dedicated to creating fun, and at the same time serious, working culture where there is no such thing as a bad idea. There are lots of opportunities for personal development, and you can get more responsibility the more you learn. There’s always something you can learn about, which makes it almost impossible for you to get bored here, and that’s something I highly value of a job.Â
What would you recommend to someone who wants to be the next Solution Architect at Plecto?
Apply! If you have a flair for working with APIs or SQL (or you want to learn) while you also love working with customers, then this is the position for you. You not only get to go in-depth with complicated cases, but you also get the opportunity to create relationships with your customers, which I think is an amazing opportunity you rarely come across!
