We've decided it's about time you get to know a little more about us - the people behind Plecto. You may have seen our faces on our 'meet the team' page or spoken to one of us during a demo or whilst getting some support, but we want you to know a few more details.

We've decided to start a new series called 'Team Spotlight' where we invite each member of the Plecto team to share a little bit about themselves.

Our first profile was Rikke and the second was Ales. 

Third up we have Nikola Lukáčová, a member of our sales team working on business development!

How long have you worked at Plecto?

I’ve been working in Plecto since September 2017. Same as Rikke :-)

Where are you from?

I’m from the third biggest city in the east of Slovakia – Prešov. 

How did you end up in Denmark?

I wanted to avoid a German test so I attended a presentation about studying abroad (that was happening, UNFORTUNATELY, at the same time as my German lesson). 

When the speakers spoke about the Danish style of education I was like ‘YES! That’s what I want!’. 

I applied and here I am. 

What do you miss about Slovakia?

So many things. I miss my family and friends the most. The weather! Nature, language and talking to strangers on the street :-)

How did you end up working in sales?

My bachelor’s degree is in International Sales and Marketing. During the last semester of my studies, I was looking for an internship in the USA but that didn’t go as I imagined it would!

My friend had her internship planned at Plecto but had to cancel it a few days before the start day. She kept going on about how much she’d love to work for that company and what a great product they have. 

The deadline for finding an internship was just around the corner so I told my friend ‘Hey! I want to talk to them.’ She gave me their contact details, I sent my CV, had an interview and got a position in sales. 

It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with Plecto, the product, my colleagues and the company culture.

What’s your favourite thing about working in sales?

Meeting new people and talking to them about their business - it’s so exciting! Especially when we have a solution for them that brings them extra value. I’ve come to meet amazing people from different countries thanks to Plecto.  

What was your dream job when you were a child?

Hmm, every month it was something different! My mum has been working in sales so the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, I guess! Haha.

What’s your dream holiday destination?

I absolutely love travelling! Every time I travel, I go to a new country. I want to explore as many as possible. 

Soon I’ll be going to Morocco but Bali is the place that I’m really eager to visit and explore.  

What are your hobbies?

I’m a bookworm. I spend a lot of time with books. 

Besides that, yoga, gym and hanging out with family and friends.  

What’s your favourite film/TV series?

The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon. 

What’s your favourite cocktail?

Definitely a Pina Colada from my friend who has his own place in Prešov – VINYL Caffe & Bistro. 

Kristian and Kasper are also pretty good at making cocktails :-D They surprise us with a new one at every Friday bar.
